Author Mary Cerullo stopped by for a library visit on Thursday to treat students to a few of her books on ocean life. The K-5th graders, along with the Battle of the Books team, thoroughly enjoyed the readings of "City Fish, Country Fish," "Sharks at your Service," and "Sea Monsters."
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, first graders learned about MLK Jr. and his involvement in the civil rights movement.
ATTENTION 8th GRADE FAMILIES!!!
Mark your calendars! It's an exciting time of the year for our 8th graders, as they start planning their academic futures at Lincoln Academy. Below are a few key dates you don't want to miss.
Sleep Schedule
“I’m tired” is a phrase I have heard from countless students in the past few weeks. When students are having difficult days at school, a poor sleep schedule is often mentioned. I want to encourage parents to start a dialogue at home regarding your child’s sleep. While the start time of school will not change, students can change their routines to build healthier habits. Better sleep can lead to an improved mood, attention-span, and memory.
