Thank you to all of you who joined us at Open House last night!
As part of our Flexible Fridays, in partnership with Coastal Rivers, the 8th graders took their kindergarten buddies down river last week. Students enjoyed a cruise on The River Tripper, learning about oyster farms, seeing fishermen hard at work, and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
While our kindergarten and 8th grade buddies were offsite, our 7th graders and their 1st grade buddies enjoyed a morning of cooking with Leslie from the YMCA's FARMS Kitchen. Continuing their unit on the Wabanaki Tribe, students prepared succotash, johnnycakes, and squash soup.
Mrs. Courand's class of fourth graders start every morning with a "crew connecting" activity. This week they worked together learning the game Cat's Cradle. Way to go crew!
All hands on deck!!
Students jumped at the chance to spread the new woodchips around the playground this week.
