THE ROARING TIMES 3/8/24

Dear NCS Families,

You may have heard at this point that the PFAS remediation has been completed for building and we are back to using our own water for drinking and cooking. Thank you for being patient with the process. I want to give a huge shout out to our head custodian, Shep Brown, for managing this project. It required many hours of coordination with state agencies, water quality engineers, and district administration to make this happen. We are fortunate to have him keeping our building safe, clean, and functioning well for our students, staff and community.

"Be true to your teeth and they won’t be false to you!" Last Friday, to cap off National Children's Dental Health Month, NCS enjoyed a visit from Granite Coast Orthodontics. Students in grades K - 5 learned the importance of proper dental hygiene with fun hands on activities.

Kindergartners put their culinary skills to the test Monday working together to make Stone Soup after reading the folktale about community sharing. Judging by their faces the reward definitely matched their effort.

frozen Our very own Lions Play Production team is excited to announce this years spring play - Frozen the musical. Come join us for a night of fun at The Waldo Theatre Thursday, April 11th at 6pm. Yes you read that right, The Waldo Theatre!!! This is an amazing opportunity for our students, and is sure to be a great show!

Frozen Due to the move offsite we find ourselves in need of additional support behind the scenes during the day rehearsal on Wednesday, April 10th (9am-2pm).
