Dear NCS Families,

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support of our NCS community.  May this festive time bring laughter and joyful moments with loved ones.  Wishing you a holiday season filled with warmth, connection, and the spirit of togetherness.

Regards,

Adam Bullard

Greetings to all families!  The Central Office is a busy place at this time of year as we start the budget process for next school year for all of our schools, secondary tuition budgets, and the Central Office itself.  We continue to focus on prioritizing safety and security as well as providing the best education and educational experience possible for all our students.  Be on the lookout throughout the Spring for your school’s budget meeting notices- we encourage you to attend and participate in these meetings!

From all of us here at Central Office, we wish you all a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season!

Lynsey Johnston, Superintendent

The return of the Scholastic Book Fair last week was a hit.  The lobby was buzzing with students and their families picking out just the right books, while raising money for our PTO.

Students in Gr. 3 created paintings to bring smiles, raffling them off to three lucky winners this month. Mrs. Stevens oversaw the project designed to bring cheer during the holidays.

Thank you to all who donated, the NCS Food Drive was a huge success!

This week our kindergarten and eighth grade buddies worked together building gingerbread houses.  And our kindergartners searched tirelessly for Gingy, the classroom gingerbread man, who escaped from class.  Luckily, with the help of the Sheriff's office, he was found and returned safely.

In addition to hunting for Gingy, kindergartners heard the read-aloud “The Gingerbread Pirates” during library time and created their own pirates from gingerbread.

Looking for a fun Holiday book?  Our second graders encourage you to read “What the Dinosaurs Did on Christmas Eve.”
