Dear NCS Families,
Behavior
As we get closer to our early release day on 12/22, it is inevitable that students will be getting more and more excited for the lengthy break - they certainly have earned it! With that increased excitement and anticipation, self-control decreases and we tend to see more behavioral challenges. We have one more week to go and our goal is to keep teaching and learning. Please have conversations with your children about school rules and behavior and let them know that though the break is near, we all - parents and staff - still have the same expectations and standards. On our end, we will continue to be consistent, fair, and supportive.
Best,
Adam Bullard
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening last night celebrating the holidays, and our amazing students and staff. We were having so much fun watching the concert ourselves we didn't get any pictures, luckily we caught a few students and staff rehearsing earlier in the week.
Still have some Christmas shopping to do and not sure what to get? Why not support the NCS 8th grade class while also scoring a unique gift. Here's the link to the 8th Grade Class Trip online Christmas auction: https://www.32auctions.com/NCS8thgradeclasstrip24.You still have a few days to bid on a wide array of items including a weekend stay in Rangeley, a Mangalitsa pork package from Switchback Farm, a Nintendo Switch courtesy of DiMauro Electric, a handmade charcuterie board, and numerous gift certificates and gift baskets from local businesses. The auction ends at 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 17th, so be sure to check it out soon. All proceeds go towards the 8th grade class trip fund. Thanks for your support!

Our CAL students have been enjoying their Fridays at The Apprenticeshop, and more recently helping Habitat for Humanity. Pictured are students building cellar stairs in a home located in Rockland.

3rd Graders had a blast in PE with reindeer sleigh races and a good old fashioned "snow ball" fight.
