Dear NCS Families,

NPTO

The lobby at NCS has been filled by the sounds of clinking glass change jars and excited students because of the now annual NPTO penny war.  Thank you so much to everyone who raided their coin stashes, searched couch cushions, and looked under their car floor mats to help support their mission.  All of the proceeds will go toward funding special supply requests for teachers and experiences for students.  Please feel free to reach out to learn how you can help the NPTO in other ways.

Pumpkin Day

This is just a reminder that K-4 Pumpkin Day is coming up at Nobleboro on October 31st.  Rather than students dressing up in their Halloween costumes, there will be a range of fun activities planned for students by their teachers to celebrate the day in a more structured way.

Afterschool Programming

Recently, I submitted a grant for increased after school program funding.  We are fortunate to already have some great options available to our students - Chess club, Homework Club, Sewing Club, various sports teams and more.  But we have room for growth.  A couple areas we have identified in this grant for students are increased art programming and outdoor adventure.  If you have any ideas or are interested in starting up an after school club at NCS, please feel free to reach out and discuss with me.

Best,

Adam Bullard

It's been a busy few weeks at NCS.  Many of our classes have been able to enjoy time learning outside of the classroom.  Here's a peek at just a few of the wonderful experiences our students have been able to partake in.

First graders had a fun Tuesday morning at The Lincoln Home, performing for the residents and creating pumpkin crafts.

7th Graders enjoyed a beautiful day at Coastal Rivers participating in the Wabanaki program.

5th - 8th Grade students took part in the annual Pumpkin Run at Lincoln Academy Wednesday, with many of them placing in the top 10 and improving their times from last year.  GO LIONS!!

AND....THE RESULTS ARE IN!!!!  Winning this year's PENNY WAR was TEAM ORANGE! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this NPTO fundraising event a big success.
