Dear NCS Families,
Guest Teachers
We are so fortunate to have a list of guest teachers within our community who are happy to fill in whenever we have absences at NCS. Being a guest teacher is incredibly challenging. Most of the time, you get a call the morning of an absence and arrive sometimes just minutes before the day begins. Though the plans that our teachers leave are very detailed, plans can only take you so far. Beyond the plan is implementation. This is why we always ask our students to act on their absolute best behavior whenever a guest teacher is present even though it can also be a challenging change in routine for them. These community members are our guests and we in turn need to recognize the unique challenge of their job and try to be as accommodating as possible. Thank you for speaking to your child about the role of a guest teacher and our elevated behavioral expectations when one is present.
Best,
Adam Bullard
